Blessed Beginnings owns several different tubs. They come with full instructions for cleaning and setup.  They are delivered at the 36 week home visit, and picked up at one of the post-partum visits.

 

...and of course, water birth is only one choice - you may choose to give birth anywhere, in any position you choose...

I guess this has become a specialty of mine. I was uneasy the first time a mother wanted to deliver in the water, but the benefits are huge. A deep tub of warm water is very relaxing. It can ease early labor, and is invaluable during transition. Sometimes the "onlookers" will suggest that the mom get out because it looks as though labor has gotten weaker in the water. The birthing mom protests vigorously and soon births her baby.
